Restaurant Program

Honeygrow Restaurant Construction

A F Alber has completed 12+ Honeygrow fast-casual restaurant build-outs across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia.

Program Overview

Honeygrow came to A F Alber through two separate paths — both tracing back to Electronics Boutique.

Path 1: One of A F Alber's primary contacts at Electronics Boutique went on to become Senior Vice President of Construction at Five Below. After leading Five Below's expansion, he moved to Honeygrow as Chief Operating Officer. He brought A F Alber with him — continuing a relationship that began at EB and continued through Five Below.

Path 2: A Senior Project Manager at Five Below moved to Insomnia Cookies as Director of Construction, where he invited A F Alber to bid on build-outs. He has since moved to Honeygrow as their Director of Construction — another branch of the same tree.

Two paths, one origin: Electronics Boutique.

Scope of Work

Honeygrow restaurants are approximately 2,500 SF fast-casual stir-fry and salad concepts, founded in 2012 in Philadelphia by Justin Rosenstein. Build-outs include:

  • Kitchen equipment coordination and MEP connections
  • Front-of-house finishes and seating areas
  • Permitting and inspection coordination
  • Opening-date schedule discipline
  • Brand-standard prototype execution
